It’s also rich in collagen, which is great for supporting healthy skin, hair, and nails, as well as aiding in joint health.
The broth is made by simmering roasted bones and vegetables for up to 24 hours, which extracts all the nutrients and flavours from the bones and creates a rich and flavourful broth. It’s also gluten-free and dairy-free, making it suitable for those with dietary restrictions.
The versatile broth can be enjoyed independently and used as a base for other dishes, like sauces, soups and smoothies.
If you’re following a paleo or keto diet, Take Stock bone broth is an excellent choice as it’s low in carbs and high in healthy fats and protein. It’s also a great option for those practising intermittent fasting, as it provides a nourishing and satisfying meal that won’t break your fast.
I have tested the chicken broth to make a simple pho bowl of goodness and here are the steps to follow to make it yourself.
Simple Pho recipe
Pho Ga with Take Stock
A quick and easy pho ga recipe using Take Stock chicken broth
- 1 handful corriander
- 1 handful mint
- 1 handful beansprouts
- 2 pieces chicken thighs
- 1 lime
- rice noodles
Pre-soak rice noodles
Poach two chicken thighs for 20 minutes
Let the chicken rest and prep your greens
Wash your mint, basil, coriander and beanspouts
You can use the water from the poached chicken to cook your rice noodles to your liking
Heat up Take Stock chicken bone broth, can either cook over the stove or microwave for 2 minutes.
Place the rice noodles into a deep bowl
Pour the chicken bone broth, add your vegetables, shredded chicken, and squeeze some juice.
I tasted the chicken bone broth on its own and can taste all the herbs used to simmer in the broth, the aromatics of the herbs used shone through. I do think that the broth on its own was weak for pho and suggest dialling the flavour up with fish sauce, and ginger.
Overall, Take Stock bone broth is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a healthy and delicious broth soup packed with collagen and all-natural ingredients. Whether you’re following a paleo or keto diet, or practising intermittent fasting, this bone broth is a great way to support your overall health and well-being. So why not give it a try today and see for yourself how good it tastes and feels?
