Kimchi and Cheese toastie recipe
This must be hands down one of my favourite toasties. The combination of Korean kimchi and melting gooey cheese sandwich between two pieces of e5 bakehouse Poplar sourdough bread. I’m using Kelly Loves kimchi, Sainsbury’s mozzarella and cheddar cheese mix with sourdough bread in this recipe.
Instructions
Step 1
Before you hit the pan, I suggest you assemble the sandwich together. Cut two slices of bread, and lay the kimchi onto one piece of toast first. The Kelly Loves kimchi sachet is the perfect portion for one sandwich. Then lay on the cheese, I find cheddar cheese is the best combo with kimchi. Then add the second slice on top.
Step 2
Heat up a pan and melt a knob of butter. This will help crisp up the sourdough bread. Place the sandwich into the pan, cover with a lid and set a timer for 3 minutes.
Step 3
Once the 3 minutes is up flip over to the overside, cover the lid and cook for another 3 minutes.
Step 4
Once done, slice in half and enjoy.
