I did puppy yoga and it’s a thing. Currently, there are two companies running puppy yoga sessions in London. Yoga Paws UK and Pets Yoga are both so popular when each site release tickets the event sells out in 4 minutes. I know this because I was at checkout for Yoga Paws UK website at 8 pm on the dot punching in my card details when I try to process the screen said sold out. When I saw on Instagram that they were a few spare tickets for an upcoming afternoon I took the chance and purchased the session right away.
puppy yoga with Yoga Paws UK
You receive an email with the location of the session and the breed of the puppies. Turning up to a studio near Angel and Old Street station, we signed a social media waiver form before entering the room. The studio was very spacious with plenty of natural light flowing through, a Muji aroma diffuser silently hums in the background with a tailing scent of essential oils. Yoga mats and other equipment is all provided along with the puppies toys.
Yoga Paws UK brought in one of my favourite dog breeds, the French bulldog and a litter of adorable puppies roamed the studio. We didn’t do much yoga due to all the cuties running around. Our instructor for the day Jodi spoke about her own French Bulldog Henri and named one of the brindles Henri too. One was a little poorly and threw up on the yoga mat. They each had their own character and had bundles of energy.
The stress-free calm environment made everyone enjoy the gentle yoga sessions whilst stopping to play, and cuddle cute puppies.
We cuddled, filmed and took photos of the puppies before departing ways. Puppy yoga is the perfect way to play with adorable pups, I am someone who loves dogs but does not have the time to look after my own pet. The puppies need to interact with humans before going to their forever homes. I highly recommend booking a class with Yoga Paws UK, there are other puppy breeds in the classes. Here’s a small clip from my puppy yoga session.
