Gaia at the Painted Halls
Following a sold-out summer 2020 event. The spectacular Gaia display by Luke Jerram returns to the Painted Halls at the Old Naval College in 2021.

Displaying a x7 scale of planet earth using NASA’s 120dpi imagery. Be in awe of the jaw-dropping display and the 500-year-old location. Enjoy the surround sound music is composed by BAFTA award-winning Dan Jones. The Painted halls were originally intended to be a dining hall for the Greenwich pensioners living at the Royal Naval hospital however it soon became a popular tourist destination. The walls and ceiling were painted by Sir James Thornhill.

How can I see Gaia?
You can experience Gaia with all 500 Years of History & Painted Hall tickets from 30 May – 1 July. Opening hours are 10 am-5 pm.
