For the very first time a competition to create a full meal using Olives ran this year. The Olive it competition aims to bring awareness to the ingredient olives.
I was invited down to the finalist cook off to taste a 4-course meal cooked by one of the chefs. The winner top prize, will go away on an all-inclusive gastronomic weekend for two plus chef’s professional equipment of their choice and a week’s placement at Tapas Revolution.
To help judge the competition was Omar Allibhoy, José Souto and a panel of other people.

I sat on Megan Ruddick table and she executed a fantastic 4-course meal excelling in the pastry department. Even Omar highly praised her dessert dish, specular. Sadly Megan did not win but I hope she pursue her career as a chef.
