My friend booked this restaurant for his birthday through opentable to get 50% off the offer is still on http://www.opentable.co.uk/thai-thai-east?rid=69850. We arrived at Thai Thai just after 8 pm, it’s just off Commercial Street and great eastern street and easy to find. The restaurant was quite busy, diners coming in and out of the place. Once seated, I had a peek at the menu at the time I just felt nibblish and decided to share a Thai Thai platter with a friend and had Thai beef salad (yam nua) as my main course. My friend’s had chosen typical curries for their mains.
Platter was well presented and was a decent size the satay chicken was yummy.
My Yam nua was very flavoured, a little overpowering and quite spicy but the beef sirloin beef was tender and just right, which I really loved.
Without the 50% discount I think the food price is pretty decent, I will probably revisit to try the curries next time.

I’ve been here didn’t like it at all. Seats and tables were so close to each other, I felt like I was dining was a whole load of other strangers. Food was nothing but sweet, had a Thai green curry it was like a dessert. I have been to many Thai rest and this was the one I rated the least. After being Thai land, I know Thai food is not meant to be like that “sweet” coz English ppl like it like that so they make it like that. You should try mango tree if you haven’t already. Or even blue elephant. Both are a lil expensive.
I didn’t try my friends curries, my salad was quite salty and spicy. Yup heard blue elephant and mango tree good.
