My Sundays usually involve me having a lie in as long as possible. It’s my day to make myself a nice breakfast sit and drink my cup of tea. Winding down before Monday arrival, but Columbia Road Flower Market has always been on my to visit places. Yup, even being born and living in London all my life. I never actually been to Columbia Road Flower market, the market is for the early risers opening from 8-2pm.

After my walk in Columbia Road, I headed off to Wellcome Kitchen with the girls for a spot of afternoon tea. I found a great deal on Groupon for afternoon tea for £6 each person. Although I made a booking over the Internet, I was surprised it didn’t go through when we turned up. They said we were too early for the afternoon tea sessions, but they brought out the stuff for us anyways.
Wellcome Kitchen is part of Benugo a catering company with high street chains all over London. Their sandwiches make a satisfying filling lunch, and the afternoon tea normally priced at £9 is a steal.
The Wellcome kitchen is inside the Wellcome Collection building near Euston Station. In relaxation surroundings, the spacious seating is perfect for the catch up with the girls. The afternoon tea consisted of a selection of sandwiches, cakes, scones and a pot of tea. Sandwich fillings were really tasty, but the edges were slightly hard, meaning it wasn’t freshly made. Cakes were soft and spongy in texture and our tea was refilled with hot water when we ran out. The services received were attentive, and I was grateful for them accommodating us after the booking mix up on their end.
Once we finished up our afternoon tea we explored the building and ended up at one of London’s most beautiful library. There’s a staircase filled with big cushions for you to just sit or lie down in.
