Them bones got me falling in love. The dining hotspot in Kensington is quite something, outside your looking at a scruffy coffee hot dog takeaway counter and a staircase leading to the basement. Bright red neon lights reflect the mirrors with Dirty Bones Cocktail bar and restaurant and a crossbone.

Ross Clarke is the creative development chef, a small dark bar lounge and quirky restaurant area. I was invited down for a bloggers night DJ master class at Dirty Bones but the invite didn’t mention food. So I came in before to try out the infamous chicken and waffles.

Prices for food is very reasonable the chicken and waffles are only a tenner and shakes are £4.50 before 7pm cocktails are £5 and now they launched Dirty Late nights with DJ’s spinning music every Thurs-Sat at both Kensington and Soho locations.

Served on a blue and white enamel plate, waffle is cut up to quarters and the half pile portion equals to three pieces. Yes the chicken is spectacular and takes 20 hours to prepare. Succulent juicy brined meat that’s marinated for 12 hours, free range chicken spiced buttermilk coating falls off the bone and extremely tender to bite into.

Milo shake was nice and creamy with hints of caramel sauce, without it being overbearing sweet. Service was amazing, the waitress was tentative pouring me water when the cup was empty and asked me how things was.

Straight after I headed to the bar lounge ordered a cocktail and socialized with the other bloggers before being lead to a secret fridge door. This private room boasted a bar and a long table. DJ Soloman was at the end with his DJ set ready to teach us his masterclass.

Key Lime Martini IMG_7652 IMG_7651 IMG_7656 IMG_7658

The first drink tastes exactly like the keylime pie dessert in a glass. Flaming torches to burn the meringue the bartenders made up plenty of concoctions for us.

The first of comfort food selection we had was these deep fried balls hidden inside was mac and cheese. Miniature tasty hot wings and of course the chicken and waffles I had earlier in the night. Pardon peppers and dirty fries.

More cocktails rolled out, Honeysuckle side car, a wedge of honeydew melon on the side of the glass the interesting thing was it was pickled and sour, along with the cocktail was a shot of sweet liquor. There are different ways to drink the cocktail I took the tequila shot approach.

If you visited Dirty Bones during valentines then you would  recognize The Fab cocktail. Resembling the fab ice lolly, hundred and thousands sprinkles was edge around the glass and the cocktail was baby pink.

We ended the night with two desserts, delicious peanut butter cups and doughnuts with coffee sauce.
